Happy New Year everyone!
If your New Year’s resolutions included taking your preparations for the 2022 Core Surgical Training ST1 interviews to the next level, you have come to the right place. There is still plenty of time to polish your approaches to clinical, management and portfolio interview questions that will form part of your 20 min online interview in February.
In our online mock interview workshops you will be paired with a fellow ST Interview subscriber and split into a virtual breakout room to practice answering past interview questions live and under timed conditions. Each of you will get to act as interviewee and examiner using realistic interview scenarios provided by stinterview.com.
As a subscriber to our online platform, you’ll automatically have access to example scenarios and model answers, much like the ones that will be used in the live workshop. We also provide a tried-and-tested framework for answering these questions, a mark scheme and some additional tips and tricks. That said, this is your time to practice and our aim is to provide a friendly environment where you can get into the habit of speaking to unfamiliar people under timed conditions. The workshop hosts, all top-scoring surgical trainees, will be happy to answer your questions on the interview process after your practice.
